IFM Series Low Frequency Torsion Pendulum Type Internal Friction Measuring Instrument

- Measures internal friction of metal materials at a low frequency of 0.2 to 2 Hz -

Vertical torsion pendulum type internal friction measuring instrument for measuring internal friction at a low frequency. A trace amount of sample can be analyzed by the Snoek peak measurement of carbon and nitrogen because the sample is not heated to a high temperature.

Application

1. Snoek peak separation of a trace amount of carbon and nitrogen mixed homogeneously in steels

Features

1. Tension applied to the sample can be held at a constant level by the reverse pendulum method
2. The average logarithmic attenuation rate can be measured by the free attenuation method
3. Analysis can be made by PC
